It reads your PC first.
Then it optimizes.
Every other tool hands you the same preset. This one checks what you're actually running, explains what each change costs, and lets you decide.
Relevance, not volume
Some tools brag about a thousand tweaks. They get there by counting every registry value separately. We'd rather tell you which ones actually do something on your machine.
Most tweaking tools
- Same preset for every machine
- No explanation of what anything does
- Silent failures — says "done" when nothing happened
- Locked behind a payment or a key
- Closed source. Trust us.
SlideTweaks
- Reads your hardware, skips what doesn't fit
- Every change says what it costs before applying
- Checks the result and reports failures honestly
- Free. No key, no premium tier, nothing locked
- Source code public — read it yourself
What's in it
Not a list of promises — the things you'll actually open.
Guided setup
23 steps through every tweak, every preinstalled app and every startup program. Each one explains what it costs and what you gain, then you choose.
179 tweaks
All on one page, filterable by category. Labelled safe, advanced or risky — and the risky ones tell you exactly what they weaken.
BIOS guide
XMP, Resizable BAR, C-States. It detects your motherboard and shows the exact menu path for it. Nine manufacturers covered.
Connection test
Ping, packet loss and jitter, then one sentence telling you which of them is actually your problem. "74 ms" alone tells you nothing.
Change history
Every tweak applied or reverted, with a timestamp, grouped by day. If something broke on Tuesday, you can see what changed that day.
Process manager
See what's eating your memory right now and close it. Critical Windows processes are hidden so you can't take the machine down by accident.
What it looks like
It explains, then you decide
Twenty-three steps. Each shows what it costs next to what you gain, with a recommendation based on your actual machine — a laptop gets different advice to a desktop. One step even recommends skipping itself, because on modern hardware those settings do almost nothing.
All 179, one page
Search across everything, filter by category, or narrow to just the safe ones. Each tweak explains itself in a line. Anything risky asks first and says what it weakens.
The settings Windows can't touch
Your RAM is probably running below the speed you paid for. No software can fix that — it lives in motherboard firmware. So the app detects your board and walks you to the right screen, with a risk note on every setting.
Find out what's really slow
Twelve pings, six numbers, and a plain verdict underneath. Packet loss causes rubber-banding. Jitter causes inconsistency. High ping is distance. They're different problems and they need different fixes.
Your RAM running below its rated speed costs you more than every tweak in this app combined. We can't fix that. We'll show you where it is.

That's where the download lives. One tap, no account setup, nothing to fill in.
Run it as admin
Windows blocks changes to protected settings otherwise. The app tells you when it isn't elevated instead of failing quietly.
Let it guide you
It starts with a restore point, then walks you through everything. Nothing is applied until you finish.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No licence key, no premium tier, no locked features. There is nothing to buy, and that isn't going to change.
How much FPS will I gain?
Honestly: it depends, and often not much. A clean modern PC has little left to fix. A bloated one can gain a lot. The single biggest win on most machines is XMP in your BIOS — which is why the app includes a guide for it instead of pretending software can do it.
Will my antivirus flag it?
Possibly. The app changes registry values and stops Windows services — the same things malware does, so heuristic scanners sometimes react. It isn't signed with a paid certificate, which makes that more likely. The full source is public if you'd rather check than take our word for it.
Can I undo the changes?
Every tweak has a revert built in. The guided setup also creates a Windows restore point before anything happens, which rolls back everything at once.
Does it need administrator rights?
For most of it, yes. Windows blocks changes to protected settings and the removal of built-in apps without elevation. The app shows a warning when it isn't elevated rather than failing silently.
Windows 10 or 11?
Both. Tweaks that only apply to one of them are filtered out automatically, along with anything that doesn't suit your hardware.
Why is the download only on Discord?
So there's one place to get it, one place to report problems, and one place people can check whether a file is genuine. Anything claiming to be SlideTweaks from anywhere else isn't ours.
It's in the Discord
That's the only place to get it. One tap, no account needed, free forever.
